22A – Elevator Pitch No. 3

Reflection:

What surprised me most was that it had not occurred to me the simultaneous environmental benefits to 'carpooling' using the Scoober App, until I was actually pitching it for the third time. I received ample feedback on my last elevator pitch, ranging from how I have improved, how I present in a cohesive conversational style, and overall support for the idea. Although I would not claim it to be memorized or robotic, I do believe I have increased my comfortability in front of the camera and improved in pitching my ideas for that matter.

  1. Hi Caroline,
Great job with this latest elevator pitch. It definitely sounds like you're confident in your idea and have a strategic business model in place. The pitch itself sounds very personal and makes the audience feel comfortable that what you're saying isn't some scam, but instead a solid sales pitch. The only suggestion that I have for you is to be a little more powerful in your delivery just so you can exude a little but more confidence to the audience.

  2. Being more comfortable in front of the camera I think is one of the most important parts, It lets you give the best true energy into what your saying without tearing yourself down from nerves. Your pitch gets better as you do it more often. Its coming along nicely, glad you were able to find that your idea also had positive environmental impacts.

  3. Hey Caroline. I think most of us can agree that getting comfortable in front of the camera takes some practice and getting used to, but you did a great job in your latest elevator pitch. After comparing it to your previous, I can clearly see you have gotten more comfortable, and your ideas flow more naturally. I love the conversational style you use, because it makes it seem like your pitch isn't staged. If I could give any advice, it would be to just remember to try to keep eye contact and not speak too quickly once you get going. Great job!
