Idea Napkin No. 2

1) You. I am myself, what you see is what you get, that being said I do not think in a business sense, I study psychology how the brain affects behavior, I prefer people as opposed to money and power.

2) What are you offering to customers? Making transportation on the UF campus more convenient and accessible to students.

3) Who are you offering it to? Anyone who needs a ride, has a smartphone, or a scooter.

4) Why do they care? University of Florida's campus is much more spread out than others, like Florida State, getting from opposite ends can be painstaking. Gainesville also has an extremely large scooter population that could be put to use easily. My company could put an end to all of those long walks, bike rides, or bus trips.

5) What are your core competencies? (as seen in what's your secret sauce post)
1. Listening with empathy- I know the difference between empathy and sympathy and the power of putting myself in other people's shoes. The ability to see other’s perspectives and allowing oneself to feel what others are experiencing is crucial to being respectful and treating others equally, regardless of who they are or what they are going through.

2. Hardworking – My ability to see a problem and address it head on. As well as put my blood, sweat, and tears in to something I care about.

3. Open-minded intellect – I’ve had some unconventional experiences that have shaped how I see the world and opened mind to so much more. But without other knowledge and constantly learning, being open-minded is useless it is all about what you do with it.

4. Communication/personable - One of my strong suites in life has always been my ability to convey what my thoughts, feelings, and perceptions verbally. While there are many people may possess this ability, however, mine is truly unique because I know the power of my own voice.

5. Go with the flow- Just living life trying to understand myself and the world around me through exploiting my other unique human capitals in the effort to benefit the greater good.

These qualities make me unique because, not only can I identify them in myself, but others can see them in me too, in my What's Your secret Sauce post. I look forward to applying my core competencies to a business or any line of work I go into, for that matter.

Feedback memo:

I received no feedback on the last post, because I forgot about the many step this class requires in order to get the points and i forgot to submit the link. So, I received no points on Idea Napkin One, therefore it will not be found on my blog nor did I receive feedback from it. I had to get creative in this assignment, I referenced my feedback from an alternative post.

  1. Caroline,
I think you could probably expand a little bit more on each of the questions so we are able to see your business idea fully fleshed out. For example, your target market seems broad, because I'm sure not everyone would be 100% comfortable with getting a ride from a stranger on a scooter. College students, however, don't usually mind.
